House passes “21st Century Cures"

The House of Representatives passed the 21st Century Cures Act by a 344-77 vote on Friday, July 10, eighteen months after Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and his Democratic co-sponsor Diana DeGette (D-CO) began listening sessions and hearings to draft the National Institutes of Health (NIH) reauthorization and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reform bill.
